Final Summer Trash Time!
I saved my garbage for 2 whole months! Mostly because I only finished like 3 things in August and small garbage isn’t necessarily fun garbage. This batch is particularly fun because it not only features skin empties but also hair products and even some expired retirees!
Haircare
I have never finished this many haircare products at one time in my life. I am so beyond pleased with all the IGK products I have used that I may have just found my favorite hair brand.
IGK Mistress Hair Balm
What it is: a hydrating leave in conditioner
How long I had it: almost 2 years?
Feelings: Literally OBSESSED! This product has completely changed my relationship with my hair. I finally feel like I can tame the mane.

What it is: a smoothing curl defining hair primer
How long I had it: 9 months
Feelings: This is actually the second can I’ve finished of this sucker. Its something that I didn’t expect to like as much as I do. Every time I skip this step I always notice my wave is a little bit lacking.

IGK No More Blow
What it is: a revolutionary leave in product cutting air dry time in half
How long I had it: 4 months
Feelings: Wowsa is this stuff neat. Is it absolutely necessary? nah. Will it always be in my stash? yah. I love putting this in my hair before braiding it and I wake up with legit flawless waves.

Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Light 44 cool
What it is: full coverage long wear foundation
How long I had it: 1 year sporadic use
Feelings: This might be my fave long wear foundation. I find even though it has a matte finish on properly hydrated skin it lasts so beautifully.
Repurchased: not yet I have too many other foundations in my stash I need to finish
Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil in Dark Brunette
What it is: super tiny precise brow pencil
How long I had it: around 2 years
Feelings: Love the shade on this and how stiff the pencil is. It made it easy to shape but also fill in my brows.

Chapstick Total Hydration Cool Peppermint
What it is: an ultra hydrating lip balm
How long I had it: not sure like 8 months
Feelings: I impulse bought this one day because I couldn’t find my lip balm while I was out and just persevered through the whole tube. Its always so satisfying to finish a tube of chapstick!

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara
What it is: jet black volumizing mascara
How long I had it: 3 months
Feelings: I love layering with this mascara. I use it as a topper over my Too Faced BTS mascara for lots of definition.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder Mini
What it is: a travel translucent pressed setting powder
How long I had it: 2 years almost daily use
Feelings: I use this specifically to set my under eye concealer and I’m super into it.

These are my babies! I have finished 2 products I would definitely classify as Holy Grails. I even used up some samples that might turn into a future purchase.
Aesop Purifying Exfoliant Paste
What it is: a gentle but deep facial exfoliator
How long I had it: 6 months regular use
Feelings:* insert heart eyes emoji * This stuff is straight up magic. I love using it as a quick exfoliating mask in the shower as it deeply cleanses and smooths my skin. It does all of this without making my skin red or sensitized at all!
Repurchased: not yet but will be picking it up very soon
Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer
What it is: a nicely hydrating moisturizer with a lightweight texture
How long I had it: just over 8 months regular use with a little break towards the end
Feelings: I was pleasantly surprised by this little cutie. I was in need of a moisturizer for daytime during the cooler months and I picked this one up awhile ago and I was pleased to have it ride through a decent amount of the summer with me!
Repurchased: not yet as I have stuff in my stash but I would buy it again
Clinique Fresh Pressed Vit C booster
What it is: a super potent vitamin c booster serum
How long I had it: it only lasts for 7 days but I got 2 weeks out of it and didn’t notice oxidation
Feelings: meh. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it I didn’t notice any more results than what I see with my normal vitamin c but I also didn’t have a reaction to it. I did end up with the 4 pack so I’ll probably end up using them all

Marvis Rambas Toothpaste Mini
What it is: fancy lady Italian toothpaste
How long I had it: 2 months
Feelings: might be my least favorite flavor from the trio I purchased. I have another one in my stash and I’m just gonna power through it

Korres Greek Yoghurt Eye Cream
What it is: a gentle hydrating and priming eye cream
How long I had it: a grossly long amount of time. I used it consistently for the last 4 months with sporadic use before that
Feelings: I was surprisingly into this eye cream. It had a cool ceramic applicator that made it super quick and easy to apply. It made my concealer look phenomenal and kept my under eyes looking so luminous.
Repurchased: no I want to try out some other options but I would repurchase it
Aesop Lucent Facial Concentrate Samples
What it is: a gentle brightening serum
How long I had it: 1 week
Feelings: wow I might actually buy this. This left my skin feeling so delightful. It felt hydrated and fresh and gorgeously luminous. I used it both morning and night and really enjoyed the texture

Sunday Riley Good Genes
What it is: a gentle lactic acid resurfacing serum
How long I had it: just shy of 6 months using about 4 times a week
Feelings: guys, guys, guys… this might be my favorite serum of all time. Guys… this is huge. I am obsessed with this serum. I felt that every time I used this I would wake up with better skin, whether it was blemishes, dullness or texture this obliterated it.

Element Ayurvedic Apothecary Sleep Well Mist Mini
What it is: an amazing relaxing pillow mist
How long I had it: not sure roughly 2 months of sporadic use.
Feelings: I really really enjoyed this mist. It has a more herbal rich scent versus a sweet lavender fragrance. Its super lightweight and v v soothing.
Repurchased: Yep I got the full size!
Retirees
These suckers are being pulled from the depths of my stash and laid to rest. I have used all these products and though they were not finished they served their purpose well.
Smashbox Always on Matte Lipstick in Out Loud
What it is: long wear matte lipstick
How long I had it: too long
Feelings: I really loved this color but the formula dried out so quickly! There was definitely lots of product left in the tube but it got hella crusty. I really liked the super pointed applicator on it though.
Repurchased: nah I found a different brand to try out
Drunk Elephant Shaba Eye Complex
What it is: a lightweight hydrating eye cream/ serum
How long I had it: like a year and a half
Feelings: I wasn’t in love with the formula so it ended up just sitting in my medicine cabinet for a really long time. As you can see it is the old pen packaging which I didn’t really like either.

Caudalie Vinosource Riche Moisturizer
What it is: a richly hydrating face cream
How long I had it: I only used it for about 2 weeks but it had been in my stash for a couple of months
Feelings: This is one of my favorite moisturizers but the color had turned and I didn’t feel comfortable using it on my face anymore.
Repurchased: yes but not right now
Algenist Genius Anti- Aging Melting Cleanser
What it is: a hydrating, makeup melting, anti-aging cleanser
How long I had it: 2 years with consistent use at the beginning and sporadic use at the end
Feelings: This was my first foray into cleansing balms and I gotta say it unlocked a lotta doors for me. I really enjoyed the texture and fragrance of this cleanser and I felt it really removed my makeup. I did find it left a bit of a film on my skin that would come off no problem with a second cleanse. I will say as I tried more cleansing oils/ balms this moved deeper and deeper into my cabinet. It is almost finished but I just have so many other options I like more.
