Seeds and Clay a Mask do Make

Aye y'all I'm finally getting around to trying out the cult classiqué Aesop Parsley Seed mask. I got a sample sachet during my last trip into the Chicago West Loop location and I thought now's a good a time as any. My duvet cover is in the wash, ice cold Brita is a flowing, so all signs point to masking!

Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask

What it is:

A deep cleansing clay based mask

What is in it:

Kaolin clay: to deep cleanse

Evening Primrose Oil: hydrating and an antioxidant boost

Parsley Seed Oil: a super boost of antioxidants to refresh the skin

How to use it:

After cleansing apply a thin layer to the whole face for up to 15 minutes

I used this guy after a super luxurious shower, complete with mini exfoliating facial courtesy of BAE the Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste. I used just one sample sachet to see just how far this mask could go on the skin. It had a fresh cool feeling when applied to the skin, and as it dried down it never felt excessively dry or itchy. The color made it a little difficult to see exactly where I had applied it, if I was working from the tube I would have used a little bit more product. I removed the mask with a cleansing cloth instead of my hands after 15 minutes. It was kind of a mistake. I should have used an actual washcloth or my hands as it felt very scratchy on my skin. That being said the mask seemed to melt with water and come off very easily. I can't say if it made my skin red either way since the cloth seemed to aggravate it a little bit. I never experienced any burning or itching so thats a good sign but I also didn't feel much of a difference in my skin afterwards. I followed with a pop of Laneige Water Bank Essence and a dollop of the Dr. Jart Cicapair cream. All this left my skin silky soft and feeling fresh. I can't speak to whether this is helping any of the lingering spots I have or declogging my pores but it did feel real nice!
